식물상(植物相, flora)은 특정 지역에 자라고 있는 모든 식물의 종류를 가리키며 동물상에 대비한다.

세균성 물질, 조류 따위의 물질들은 이따금 식물상(flora)으로 부르기도 하는데,^[1][2][3] 이를테면 세균의 식물상인 세균총(세균군, bacterial flora)과 식물의 식물상(plant flora)이 별개로 사용되는 데에서 알 수 있다.

분류

식물상은 환경에 따라 다음과 같이 구분한다.

• 재래식물상(Native flora): 특정 지역에 토착해 있던 식물들
• 농업·원예식물상(Agricultural and garden flora): 사람이 섬세하게 길러놓은 식물들
• 잡초식물상(Weed flora): 이 분류는 전통적으로 필요 없다고 여겨지는 식물들에 해당하며, 이들을 제거하고 통제하기 위해 연구된다.
